Product Overview
The Secure Pallet™ system combines our Pallet Protection Kit with the innovative Slip Tray Pallet™ from envirOpak™ to deliver a pallet security solution that protects cargo, establishes and secures the Chain of Custody, reduces handling costs, saves weight and space and is fully recyclable. It is a potential solution for shippers of palletized air cargo seeking an economical way to comply with the requirements of the TSA’s Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP).
Description
The Pallet Protection Kit provides a Topp Clip™, Topp Seal™ and Topp Label™, along with a 48x40x84 inch, clear, 6 mil Pallet Bag, neatly folded in a small box. The kit contains all that is needed to uniquely identify, secure and prove the pallet hasn’t been opened during transit, not including generic 1/2 inch banding and tools, purchased separately. The tamper-evident Pallet Bag can be applied to any pallet configuration, and can also be heat shrunk to snug down on any cargo. Attempts at surreptitious entry are readily apparent; no tape is needed aside from a single, uniquely numbered, tamper-evident seal on top of the bag.
The Slip Tray Pallet™ has many advantages for shippers currently using conventional pallets. With its rounded, patented lip design, the Slip Tray Pallet is easily loaded using common tapered forks; the design also works efficiently in applications that employ push-pull forklift attachments. From a security point of view, the Slip Tray complements the Pallet Bag by providing a tough, uniform surface that deters and reveals penetration attempts; its four sidewalls encapsulate the cargo on all sides and protect the bottom row of product. It also prevents palletized items from shifting, which commonly occurs with conventional pallets and slip sheets.
The Slip Tray is pre-creased with interlocking tabs for quick and easy assembly, and can be shipped partially assembled if required. It is made from recycled plastic resin and can be 100% recycled itself. If terms and conditions are met, EnvirOpak will recycle used Slip Tray Pallets at its expense, providing a cost-effective, sustainable, environmentally friendly solution to users (1).
Applications
The Secure Pallet system is suitable for companies shipping products in the agriculture, chemicals, electronics, food & beverage, pharmaceuticals, plastics, and rubber industries. Secure pallet is an excellent solution for companies shipping cargo by air who wish to comply with the secure chain of custody requirements of the TSA’s Certified Cargo Screening Program (CCSP) and applicable statutes of the Lacey Act of 2009 concerning packaging materials.

- Slip Tray saves space and weight vs. wooden and metal pallets, reducing shipping costs.

(1) An end-user receiving goods and/or material using a Slip Tray Pallet™ and/or interlayer sheet manufactured in a facility sourced, licensed or owned by the Slip Tray Pallet™ patent owner, can be returned for recycling at envir0pak's expense from that end-users place of business to a location designated by envir0pak. It is incumbent upon the end-user to package used Slip Tray Pallets™ in bundles of 1,100 lbs. (500 kilos) to 2,200 lbs (1000 kilos) and/or container or trailer quantities greater than 22,000 lbs. / 10,000 kilos. Minimum returnable quantity is 2,200 lbs / 1,000 kilos. This policy is effect for all countries of the world. However, it is understood that individual end-users in countries outside of the Continental United States may be required to accumulate a single container/trailer quantity, or to hold used units until a container/trailer load can be accumulated from several end-users within a region or country.
