Air Cargo Congestion: Finding Solutions

JFK Building 14 - Port Authority Cafeteria   16:30 - 19:00

AfA Exec Director Brandon Fried hosts a Town Hall Meeting on the topic of airport congestion and truck wait times at JFK - a chronic problem there and at other major airports.  CARGO AT REST IS CARGO AT RISK.  Add your voice to this important and timely topic.

Seattle. Dallas. Chicago. Boston. Los Angeles (Twice).

Now it’s your turn, New York!

The Airforwarders Association has traveled the United States hearing from members in many key gateway cities about not just the unique features of their market, but also the challenges they face.

New York, New York - let’s hear your story.

Brandon Fried, Executive Director of the Airforwarders Association will be leading a discussion of local and national air cargo thought leaders to talk about JFK’s unique position in the northeast and how the proposed investment will (or won’t) impact cargo operations.

Aging facilities, a tight labor market, more carriers coming to new cities owing to advances in technology that lets planes fly further from new places means that air cargo community must do a better job optimizing what we have, introducing people to employment and advancement opportunities and collaboratively working together as stakeholders - airport, truckers, forwarders, ground handlers and airlines, to ensure that the continued growth and expansion of the airport continues through collaboration, technology and new ideas.
